User Data Deletion Instructions
Milebit, Inc. allows you to delete your account and all associated personal data. You can do this directly within the app or by contacting us via email.
Option 1: Delete Your Account in the App (Recommended)
Open the Milebit app.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
Confirm your decision.
What happens next:
Your account will be deactivated immediately. You will be logged out and will no longer be able to access the Service.
You have a 30-day grace period during which you can contact support@milebit.io to reactivate your account.
After 30 days, all personal data associated with your account will be permanently and irreversibly deleted, including:
Your profile information (name, email, phone number)
Saved routes and trip data
Chat messages and communication history
Subscription and billing records (except where retention is required by law)
Road event reports and community contributions
Friends list and social connections
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you are unable to access the app, you may request account deletion by email:
Send an email to: legal@milebit.io
Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
Include the email address associated with your Milebit, Inc. account.
Processing Timeline:
Receipt confirmation: We will acknowledge your request
within 48 hours.Identity verification: Up to 7 business days. We may ask
for additional information to verify your identity.Account deactivation: Immediate upon verification.
Data deletion: Permanently deleted within 30 days of
deactivation, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and
applicable laws.
Data We May Retain After Deletion
Certain data may be retained after account deletion only where required by law, including:
Billing and transaction records (as required for tax and accounting compliance)
Data necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements
Retained data is kept in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data retention laws, and is deleted when no longer legally required.
Fleet Accounts
If your Milebit account is managed by a Fleet Customer (employer, carrier, or fleet operator), please contact your Fleet Admin to initiate account deletion. Fleet Admins may have separate data retention policies.
